Additional medical required (suspicious for TB)

hello everyone, I got email from CIC asking me to collect sputum sample for 3 days and X-ray 3 months after my first x ray . They found a scar on my lung, however, I have lung surgery last year and informed CIC, the scar is really obvious on my chest, u don't even need X-ray to find the scar.
Right now I'm just wondering how long will the process take after taking the second X-ray ??

It's hard to say. Obviously the additional medical request will prolong it but as long as you know that it's not likely that you will be denied because of the medical. Even if you were found to have TB, they'll simply send you to take the necessary precaution to have it cured.

My mother got further medical request (chest enquiry) as on 12 june 2017. And she got the appointment as on 3,4,5 July 2017. This medical results will come after 65 days.

So my question is that all the process of medical examinations will cross the deadline as recommended by CIC I.e 3 months. 65days + 22days =87 days in total.
Will I have to inform the cic by email. Or they already know about such delay.

I'm sorry, I have no idea how long it will take after you have the second x-ray....

May I ask how long after your medical was completed did they request you to do the 3 days sputum test and x-ray 3 months later? My husband had a IRCC medical done 2 years ago and had mark on his lung. He needed to do the sputum test and X-ray 3 months later to clear him of active TB... I'm hoping that they will compare the X-ray from 2 years ago to now (doing medical on Monday!) and see that there is no change and therefore not require further testing for TB... BUT, if they do require further testing, I am just really curious how long it took them to ask you for further testing so we have a rough idea of timing! Thanks!

If I were you, I would inform ircc as to your timeline. That your mom had the sputum test on July 3,4,5 and that the results are expected to be available 65 days later on September 8 or 9. This way, they know that you are working on the request. Although, you won't actually pass the three month deadline of September 12 if it only takes 65.

they knew how long it will take , as they asked you to do the test.

Nothing to worry sidhu saab, they will automatically adjust the deadline.
