Additional Family Information/Schedule A Form

Hello!

I am a Canadian citizen looking to sponsor my partner through common-law partnership. On the forms titled "Additional Family Information" and "Schedule A," they say that the principle applicant (which would be my partner), his or her spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, must complete their own forms separately. Does this mean that I also have to complete this form, since I am her common-law partner? I am a little confused, since these forms are not under forms that the sponsor has to submit.

i hope this question makes sense! Thanks in advance! :)

Basically no - these forms are also used for those applying under programs where principal applicant plus spouse are looked at. Where the sponsor is already a PR or citizen, they don't have to provide (usually) - like travel history fo rthe sponsor also not needed. Do check for each form by name/number though, it will help to be more specific.

Another example: IMM0008 - the spouse-sponsor is not a dependent of the principal applicant (but spouse-not sponsor would be dependent for eg economic immigration programs).
