So I was requested to submit an additional police certificate from Japan on July 28, 2017. They gave me 60 days.
I requested the certificate on August 4. The embassy said it would take 40 days. I just called them and its not ready yet. The CIC due date is next Tuesday, sept 27, 2017. I still have a bit of time to deliver but I am a bit worried. The letter from CIC states:
The above information/documents must be received within 60 days from the date of this correspondence. If this deadline is not met, your application will be assessed based on the information that was provided with your application and your application could be rejected.
Guys do you think its possible to ask for an extension if the paper is not ready by next week?
