Hi,

I applied for a study permit on 14th June 2022 SDS from India and submitted all the required documents. Yesterday night (11th September), I received an update that they are reviewing my eligibility and then requested me for proof of tuition fees payment which I had uploaded already before. I had submitted an official letter from the university stating that they have received the money equivalent for one-year tuition fees and I had also attached confirmation from CIBC received in my mail regarding the transfers of that exact amount. Don't know why they asked me again but I uploaded the same letter after asking others what they had submitted. Everyone just submitted the letter received from the university.

I submitted and transmitted the documents within 30 minutes of getting the Additional document required mail but the status is yet to be updated. I was really hoping to get the visa this week as I had pressurized the university to grant me an extension for the fall term to reach Canada by end of the month. Anyone facing or had faced a similar situation can advise on the timeline after receiving and submitting an ADR. When can I expect a decision?

Go to your university's student portal and download the statement of the student's account. It would have the breakdown of the tuition fees and any deposits you have made. Then send that via webform to IRCC.

Thanks. Yes, I have requested the university to give me a consolidated statement recently dated and will attach the same through the web form. Though I am afraid it will take time considering the webform backlogs.

It just sucks to wait three months and then receive an ADR for a document you already submitted.

They read webforms and respond to those which need quick action. So do your part and send them the statement of accounts. Your submitted document status would change to 'submitted' after the deadline of submission has passed and would change to 'review' when the decision is near, this is what I learned when I searched this forum from the experiences of other people.

No way of knowing when you will receive a decision. The good news is that if they asked you for documents, at least there is some movement in your application. However, if approved note that you still have to submit your passport for stamping and receive it back, which might take a couple of weeks at least. If you are aiming to the September 2022 term, the clock is against you.

I understand as there is nothing set in stone with ircc these days. I got the status update that my document is uploaded two days back (12th September), which means they didn't wait till the deadline to change the status. But the review hasn't started and I am afraid that might start after the deadline. Considering that it takes a week at least in Delhi to get the passport stamped, I am running very tight and might have to defer. At this point an approval even if late would be taken with a sigh of relief though.

Got my PPR just now. No information on review of ADR or anything, direct PPR. Amazed by the speed as I had almost given hope of getting a result within a month.
