Hey Guys,

My Timeline -
AOR - August 17th 2018
Med passed - September 7th 2018
IP1 - September 8th 2018
IP2 - October 31st 2018

I got an additional document request letter on 1-Nov-2018 for a translated copy of Netherlands police certificate.

But as i understand from this page :
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...lice/police-certificates/how/netherlands.html

Special notes and considerations
"The Certificate of Good Conduct is issued in Dutch with a portion translated in English at the bottom. It is not necessary to have it translated."

I hope the case handler didn't know about this and has asked for the translation.

So i'm going to send them an email about it instead of uploading the same.

My question is to which email address ? In the request letter there is no email address specified.

Thanks!

Did you upload the certificate yourself? Does it have the English translation at the bottom? If yes, just upload a letter of explanation. If not, then get it translated.
If you did not upload the certificate yourself and it was sent directly to CIC by Dutch authorities, then explain that in your letter.

I'd personally suggest to just follow instructions and have it translated. Doesn't take time compared to the possibility of receiving the request again later and having your application delayed.

Thanks!, The letter of explanation was sufficient :). The status of additional document was under review from Nov 1 to 24th January and now its not applicable. I also did call cic on 20th January and indeed they accepted that it was a mistake from their side.
