Thanks Tombraided.

First of all, have you heard anything from CIC?
I did not submit photos because my company lawyer is working on my and my wife's PR file. He suggested not to send anything else that is not asked. It will be my bad if CIC asks for the same at later stage as it will delay the process.

Now - is it recommended to do pre-medical for wife? I have not got any information from CIC regardingm wife's medical. We have not started PCC application as well. Any advise on this?

Did your wife get work permit?
What your PR status shows right now?
You should definitely send the pics and PCC. Wait for the medical. Your lawyer looks like an inexperience guy.... send it asap... one transaction at cic = 2 months delay....

I am in a similar position like the original poster, but little bit complicated.

I got married after I received my COPR, but before landing. I notified CIC by emails, but did not get any reply. So, I tried my landing In Nov' 2012 (as my visa was expiring). I do not live in Canada now. My landing this time could not be finalized.

Thereafter, I have e-mailed CIC many times on adding wife to application, but still waiting for their reply.

Now I am keeping documents ready to add my wife. Is it necessary to send IMM0008DEPENU form? On the checklist it says, IMM0008DEPENU is required when the number dependent is more than 5.

Hello highfly383,
thank you for your response.

1. I have heard back from CIC lately. I will post it in my next post.
2. For photos, I am not so sure as in their reply they also did not ask me to send photos. Nevertheless to remain on a safe side, I sent photos. I believe there is no harm if you send extra papers.
3. I do not know much about pre-medical. My friend with same situation told he was trying to find such forms. Unfortunately he could not find. I didn't give a try by the way.
4. Police Clearance Certificate is a mandatory thing. I don't understand how they have missed this thing with you.
5. My wife hasn't applied for work permit yet. She will do soon after collecting some papers related with properties. You know it takes time to manage those in a short time.
6. My PR status shows 'application received'. Inside that - medical results have been received.

All the best! :)

When did you notify CIC you would change to add your spouse? I've sent notification to CIC in January, but still no response yet.

Hello Xiaosusie,

I notified CIC on 14th of January 2013. But they didn't reply me on that for long time. Then I again sent them email on February 28th. They replied on this email within a week (March 4). I haven't received any reply to the email I sent on January yet. I believe I will not get ever. :p

I suggest you to email them again. Hope you will also get response soon. Good luck. :)

Thank you for the reply. I notified CIC on Jan 25, 2013. I resent it on Feb 12, 2013. It is April 4 today and I haven't heard back from them yet. I'll email them again. Thanks again for the suggestion.
