Adding to already submitted immigration docs.

I already submitted proof of my relationship between myself and my hubby. They included hotel receipts, car rental receipts, tickets, pictures.

I did not submit phone logs, emails, support letters from family as well as our future plans.
I am thinking about submitting the extra stuff after I get my new police/fbi clearances.

Will submitting more evidence of our relationship work against us?

Would love some feedback!

I personally wouldnt don't submit documents until they are requested you might PO your IO you dont want to give them a reason to put your file at the end but I think its all personal preference I know I am not gonna pile up my IO desk with more work I believe the quality of info I sent is better than more proofs that would establish the same thing IMO

But the proofs you are going to be submitting sounds really good so you can take the chance

If I am called for an interview, I will be prepared. I also have submitted proofs.

Reading through this forum, some folks have submitted extensive proofs...with the emails and chat logs and phone logs. I think that's so personal. If I am called for an interview and the IO requests these things, I can show it. I basically submitted proofs of our times spent together, receipts and tickets, & pictures. That's it.

Yea u can either keep them for proof or sometimes the VO don't call interview they just ask for more documents of contact and you don't want to have sent them in without them prompting you and be left with nothing to show

As for emails I didn't submit any we don't email we mostly BBM n the content is private and I was not gonna go thru n block contents for them unless they request it

As long as you remember these IO dont know you and can only go by the proof that your sending to them on how real your relationship is, and you can look at the proof through their eyes and think yes i would believe that this is a genuine relationship, then you should be ok, if they are not satisfied, they will ask for more proof anyway.
We sent pictures, a few cards, phone bills and calling cards showing the calls made to eachother while we have been apart, bills dating back over 10 years ( Im hoader lol ) mortgage in both names, bank accounts in both names, rental agreements, dont have things like emails as we did those 13 years ago and didn't think about keeping them.
We didnt send in a whole speel about are relationship how it started and progressed, we only used the space provided. I know some people on here have wrote pages apon pages about their relationship. But we felt we didnt need to as the space provided was enough.
Oh and a newspaper clipping with a photo of us together from when we started up our business together and we got into the paper.

So yeah, I personely think that we showed we are a genuine married couple of 12 years, but some people might think we should have sent more. If they need it we have it.

Wowwww! He definitely has a whole lot of proof. Hubby & I have never lived together and we are going through this immigration process so that we can start our lives together. This is both our 1st marriage. We dont hv a house in both our names or joint bank accounts etc. These things are bound to happen in our future but we do live in seperate countries at the moment.

Wowwww! He definitely has a whole lot of proof. Hubby & I have never lived together and we are going through this immigration process so that we can start our lives together. This is both our 1st marriage. We dont hv a house in both our names or joint bank accounts etc. These things are bound to happen in our future but we do live in seperate countries at the moment.

I had a same question is my mind too!! I was thinking of sending additional documents to the VO without them asking for it. But I was hesitating. But in our case, we filled up the application when we were together, so we did not provide proof of continuous contact, except for few post wedding pictures. Now that we are apart for almost three months now, I was thinking they might ask us for the proof of contact for these three months. Well, I should just wait till I hear from them right?

Honestly, I don't think that should be a problem. I haven't seen hubby since May. We both can't just take trips every time. We both have different obligations at the moment. We do however communicate at least 2 to 3 times per day. We're also not even into taking pictures but I submitted a couple pics (probably 30 or more or a lil less ....wedding, sightseeing, engagement function etc etc. Pretty much nothing out of the ordinary.

I think we should just show that we keep in contact even though we're apart. Support letters from family and friends are a plus. I plan on taking cards and emails from friend and fam to the interview.

The reason why I joined this forum is proof that I needed more support. You guys are going through the same thing I am going through. We can relate a whole lot more

Yea, that's true. Lot of us have similar kinda situations. And everyone is really helpful here, that's awesome.Well, I will do as you said. Make those documents ready incase they ask for it.

I'm a very sentimental person and keep everything. I sent copies of pretty much everything and anything that could be photocopied.
Extra photos, copies of all the wedding cards we received from friends and family, copies of any cards we sent to one another, parking stubs, meal receipts, movie ticket stubs, emails (any really private stuff was blacked out with a sharpie marker), some phone bills, almost all our original calling cards, plane tickets, even my park n fly ticket, museum tickets..etc. Our VO probably thought I was insane for keeping everything, but hey, it turned out to be helpful to verify our relationship!!

I don't think some documentation is necessary unless it was where you first met. If you met in the museum then you should include that in the immigration package. Hubby and I did a couple things together including travelling and that I included receipts for. We went to the movies but I definitely didn't include the stubs. We went sightseeing and had dinner but I showed pics etc. Some things just aren't necessary. I did not submit our chat logs and call logs. Those are personal. If it is requested then I can show it. I also have calling cards too but I didn't submit that either. At the interview, I'll be sure to have certain relevant proofs which are communication (call logs, emails/txts, pictures, support from family/friends and our upcoming future plans.

once u get the file no. you can send the documents. in my opinion dont wait for the push from CIC, its better if you send them more proofs, it will be easier for them examine your case. whether u send all the proofs with your main application or later... one way the other its same.
