Thanks for sharing the link. I've read through this earlier too but here it mentions about applying open work permit for "Spouse and common-law partner in Canada pilot program”. Is that the same as adding spouse to existing FSW application as accompanying dependent?

Are you already in Canada and on a work permit? If so, you can apply for the Open work permit for your spouse.

Hello Everyone,

I have a different scenario, below is my timeline, please shed some light on how to proceed.
CEC inland Applicant
AOR: 5-May-2021
Travelled to India
Married: 23-May-2021
Portal mail: Received a client portal email to reply with my entry details on 22-July-2021.
I informed IRCC about my marriage and the next day got a reply to add my spouse's documents. Completed upfront medicals and biometrics submission of my wife, and submitted all the documents in webform on 02-Sep-2021. Again submitted multiple webforms, no reply.
Returned back to Canada and replied to the client portal mail again that I am in Canada and requested to add my wife to the application as well.
Received a hard copy letter stating that I have to send mail to <IRCC.ClientPortalOntario-OntarioClientPortail.IRCC@cic.gc.ca> (Client portail mail Id for Ontario division) with my landing details and subject to be mentioned as paper. IRCC has mentioned that they are sending this letter because either I have not responded to previous email communications or IRCC doesn't have my email Id.
Sent the details along with my spouse's documents to the mail id on 07-Dec-2021.
Received Client portal credentials on 08-Dec-2021 only for myself and my wife details were not added in my account portal
Updated my details, address and photo on the client portal on 08-Dec-2021, and received my COPR today.

My wife's details are not added to my account, and my application portal says the final decision has been made and approved. What's the next step, will my wife's details be added eventually ? Is anyone else also on the same boat?

Hi, what is your marital status on the eCOPR? Does the eCOPR contain information about your wife?
My wife is in similar situation, she married me and replied to the first email with the requested information and also mentioned that she just got married. She hasn't receive the second email yet.

My brother-in-law was invited Feb 2019 and received COPR in Feb 2020 with one year to land in Canada. As everyone knows, the pandemic hit and things were a bit chaotic (he is working / living in Dubai). Things became more and more restrictive (e.g. PR's having to remain in Canada once landing) and in the meantime he had also met someone. They later married in Dec 2020 and he informed IRCC. A request for his wife's documents / application was sent Jan 2021 and her application information was sent Feb 2021. It's now Jun 2022 and he hasn't heard anything. Anyone else add a spouse after COPR and waiting? is there a spreadsheet for spousal add-ons and processing times?

This happened with me and I submitted Medicals then got PPR in 4 days as single then again struggle started to add my spouse!! So better raise webform and email them or call

--> How do we proceed with the translation? Can someone share the steps with me?
--> How do we deal with her name missing on the birth certificate?

Yeah so he had applied from the US through VFS Global. He mentioned it's for Canada and the purpose he chose there was Long Term instead of Residence permit(which is what I have in my PCC). Now am a bit worried whether that would cause any impact to the application.

Generally everyone gets "PCC for Immigration purposes for Canada"
