Hello All,

Below is my timeline.
  • I have applied for Express Entry in CEC class on March 21st 2021 and received AOR on 21st March.
  • Travelled to India in May 2021 and got married.
  • Notified IRCC on June 13th 2021 through Web Form.
  • Received response from IRCC to submit the below documents on 22nd of June.
  • Meanwhile, My organization has filed Spouse Open Work Permit for my Spouse on 25th June, since I'm on closed work permit. Received BIL on 26th June and letter stated IRCC to submit the Biometrics by 30 July. I got Biometric slot only by Aug 31st. Also, went for upfront medicals in 1st week of July.
  • Submitted the documents through Web From on 20th of July as, My spouse's PCC took time in India.
  • Received confirmation from IRCC on 08th Aug 2021 that the documents are received and the documents are reviewed.
  • On Sep 15th 2021, Dependent got updated on my file with Biometrics information.
  • On Sep 22nd 2021, IRCC requested for additional documents.
  • Submitted the requested documents on 25th Sep 2021.
  • On 27th Sep 2021, Application updated with message that says "We are reviewing additional documents provided".
  • Since then there is no updates.
I have raised a couple of web forms and reached out to call center for requesting status but no status update.

I also applied for GCMS notes on Sep 30 and Oct 12 2021 and still haven't received any notes.

@Johnjacobb I have not received any biometrics request yet nor any request for re-medicals. When I had submitted my application in Oct 2018, biometrics was not a mandatory requirement. So, I am not sure if they will request it for my spouse either. The last update I have from GCMS is that the file has been moved to NDVO in April 2021 and security is pending for both of us.
Thanks for your reponse.
Hope you get your visa's soon

Hey @samm153

The Open work permit application did not move at all. It is still like that only. But filing that open work permit has helped me for the biometrics and medicals as these are covered as part of this application and for PR application they haven't asked for any.

As far as PR application, no update since I have submitted the additional documents. Tried calling the IRCC contact center and they said officer is reviewing the documents in 2nd week of October. Since then waiting to hear from them.

Raised GCMS notes as well, but haven't received them yet.

Hi everyone, I need some urgent advice.

I applied for my PR in Jan 2021. A few weeks ago, I sent a webform update to add my common-law partner to the existing PR application, along with documents proving the common-law partnership. And yesterday, I received the "Ready for Visa" email where they're asking for my passport. Could any of you please advise on the next steps? I'm not sure if this email takes into consideration the addition of my common-law partner. I assumed they'd acknowledge the addition and ask for PCC and medical documents for my common-law partner. Could you please let me know what I should do next? Thank you!!

Hey @us2canada123, I was in similar situation as I am planning to get married soon and wanted to add my spouse in existing application. I raised webform and they replied in same format every time. I think they have fixed template to respond the webforms. On the other hand I already received portal email where I replied back stating same that I wanted to add my spouse. After few days I got my credentials as well to confirm my PR, I contacted IRRC support centre and the agent said if I want to add my spouse he can message the officer handling my case to keep my file on hold (I gave them tentative date) as I am not officially married (I don't have marriage certificate). It's been more than one week and I haven't received any message/update on my profile and I believe my file has been put on hold. I would suggest you to either raise a webform and provide following additional documents to add your partner or you can also contact support centre (1888-242-2100) if you need more information. Following documents are required to start the processing of your partner:

If you are the principal applicant of a permanent residence application already in process, you could add your spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children to your application, even if they were listed as a non-accompanying dependent in the initial application.

To do so, we invite you to send your add-on request through the IRCC webform available on our website. You can attach the following forms and documents in the field reserved to that effect:

Good Luck :)

Hello guys,

Just wondering has anyone with 2021 AOR managed to get their spouse added to the profile? It's been more than 6 months since the confirmation mail.

Hey,

Any update from your end? Did you get an invite for biometrics for your spouse or medical request for spouse?
