Hi,

I have got express entry invitation on score 456 and applied and submitted e-APR on 26th Jan, 2017 with all documents. I live in Canada and working full-time and applied under express entry Canadian experience class.

I got married on 14th February in India. My spouse lives in India and never been outside of India. I have her passport, medical and pcc ready upfront and now we also got marriage certificate from India.

On 20th February I have wrote update on my marital status to CIC using webform https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?_ga=1.241344459.873947521.1399486767. I got autogenerated email form CIC saying turn around time is 10 days. I have waited for 12 business days and no response back from them. So I called CIC Customer service dept today 9th March, 2017 about status update. They told me that status update is not applied to my PR file yet. She told me to fill out some forms and send it to Sydney, NS location.

Form she sent are: IMM5669E (Background Check), IMM5406E (AdditionaL family info.), IMM0008ENU_2D (Generic application form for canada), IMM0008DEPENU (Additional Dependants/ Declaration form).

A copy of the family member’s valid passport,
Police certificates for all countries where the family member over the age of 18 has lived for more than 6 months since turning 18,
and

The add-on request including:
my name,
my client ID number/UCI,
my file number,
a letter of explanation,
a copy of the birth certificate, marriage certificate or proof of common-law relationship, and
if applicable, the proof of payment.

Do I need to fill all the forms to add spouse to my file?
Does it the standard process for adding spouse to e-APR express entry in process file? or should I again fill webform and give another marital status change update with all the documents of my spouse attached to it.

In her email she didn't write about medical or PR photo of my spouse.

I am confuse, please help me.

Thanks!

There will be recalculation of points. If it falls below the cut off, you will get rejected. You recalculate your points along with your spouses details and start ECA and IELTS if required.

I believe my point don't gets recalculated as my profile is already in process. They just add my spouse with the file. My point is 495 and with spouse is 473 so i am not worried at all in this case too. What my main concern is mailing the filled form with spouse's details to Sydney, NS is the standard process of adding spouse to in process application?

Did you submit your eAPR before marriage or after marriage? If it's before marriage then your score wont get recalculated. If it's after marriage, your score will get recalculated.

Hi,

I am also in a dilemma over adding spouse to my application post marriage. I had filed e-APR on Feb 14. My current status is "Medicals passed...next step is background check". I had received nomination from Ontario and accepted the ITA after that.

Now my situation is - I am planning to get married by July and add my spouse along with my application so that we receive PR together for landing in Canada.

1) Will my points be recalculated if I get married and change my marital status? Will this affect my application?
2) Is it advisable to get married and add my spouse into the process? Or should I continue with just mine, and sponsor my wife after I land in Canada?

Please help m understand this. TIA.

Same as my case... I got married after e-APR. I have spouse's ECA and IELTS done already if they ever ask.
They send me the same doc request as you. How do I send it to them? Physically by courier???

We registered our marriage on July 1, 2017. I received PPR on Sept 4. We got married on Oct 6 :) I have been writing to CIC mentioning my status change and awaiting their response (the checklist) - it's been more than a month without any response.

Hello All,

I am on H1B in USA and will submit my ITA doc by Mid march.

Tricky part is my fiance is also on H1B and we are getting married in May end.

I will inform IRCC about this update to get my spouse added to the application. I will be primary.
My questions are-

1) Do I have to get my PCC (from India) and FBI verification again?

2) Will she has to get her PCC (from India) and FBI again once return to US again?

3) how much time do they give for submitting the docs?

4) Does she needs to give her ECA as well?

I need help urgently. Super anxious!!
