Hi All,

My spouse is the primary applicant and both of us have received PPR letter via e-mail and have been requested to provide photos and passports by Dec 24 2017.
However there is a change in circumstance as my spouse is now expecting a child around July 2018. Our medicals expire in Sep 2018. We have raised a CSE, however no instructions have been received

If we send our passports now, what is the maximum date of landing that will be stamped ?
Her job offer expires in June 2019. So if we decide to land after birth of our child outside canada, will our application be rejected, as the job offer will then be valid for another 7-8 months which is less than mandatory 12 months at the time of issue of visa OR will we get new COPR's ?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
You should not have wasted time raising a CSE, expecting a child is not a change in circumstance. Submit your documents before the deadline.

Usually you will be given until the medicals expiry date or the passport expiry date (whichever is earlier) to land in Canada. However, this is not always the case. If you do not land before the baby is born then you can return your COPRs (assuming still valid) and add him to your application, new COPRs will be issued.

I do not know the circumstances of your valid job offer so I will refrain from commenting on it.

Thank you for your reply,
We have sent our passports to VO yesterday. However based on CSE filed, I have now received a request letter from IRCC giving the below options and IRCC wants us to notify them of our decision.

1. Land in Canada and deliver the baby there (Not sure how much it would cost to deliver without OHIP- given we may be able to travel in April only, so not sure if 3 months would be completed) What if C-section is needed ? How expensive is it. ? Could you direct me to some websites ?
2. Land in Canada and return home for delivery and sponsor the child via Family class.Any idea how much time sponsorship via family class takes?
3. They are not recommending us to wait until birth of child before we land, as that would require additional documentation, child medicals, medicals for me and spouse again with associated fees

Kindly assist as i am confused on the next steps. Much will depend on the ability of my spouse to travel based on clearance from doctor.

1 - I could think of a ballpark figure but it is better if you do your own research based on the hospital(s) that you have in mind.
2 - Up to a year.
3 - Well yes, more documentation would be needed to add your child to your application but if you are not in a rush to land in Canada and if you want to avoid the costs of delivering a baby in Canada then you could wait so you all become PR at the same time.

Hi Rocky,

Would like to know which option you chose and how the entire process fared
