Adding on to the application

Hi;
I gave my application for TRV in person at the new york office.

I forgot to mention about a travel (to a place other than canada) I need to make in a weeks time.

Its been more than 2 days since I submitted my application.

I haven't heard back from the visa office. How can I mail them a letter explaining about my travel plans and ask them to expedite the process.

I have flight tickets which I can include to prove my travel etc... pls advice.

I jst don't want to wait longer and have them hold onto my passport for a longer duration.

You can send an enquiry through email on your office's website. However, from experience, they will not expedite your processing regardless of your proof or reason. They will give you the option of cancelling your visitor visa application and sending it back to you unprocessed or they will continue to process it at the normal speed and you may miss your trip. Even if you decide to cancel, they may not send back your passport or respond to your request soon enough for you to travel.
