Adding Notice of Assessment to the File

I just received my Notice of assessment from CRA and would like to add it to my CEC file.
This is 3 pages. Do I scan and e-mail all of it to CPP-O or would a Summary page showing all the figures and numbers be sufficient?

Should one attach covering letter also while sending additional documents to CIC, like T4/NOA/updated Ref letter,etc.. ??

I know its not mandatory but is it good to send one?
