Hi,

I just had my a new baby and we have our permanent residency application (under CEC) running - we have received the AOR in January 2014. Baby was born in Canada so we don't need to apply for its PR but was wandering what we need to do to inform them about the family change.

Thank you for your help.

First of all, congratulations !!!
You will need to send out your child's birth certificate copy (Long Format) with a cover letter mentioning the reason, your details, AOR etc.

Since your child born in Canada, no form changes required.

Best wishes.

Second that. An email with the birth certificate (showing both parents' names) will suffice. I just did that last month and they replied within a couple of hours.

Hi all,
Could anybody tell me what do I need to do if the newborn baby will be born just in September...? We applied for PR under CEC on November 2013 and got AOR on January 2014? Do we need to wait untill September, or do something now? And one more thing - we applied for PR from outside Canada and will stay here for the decision will be made..

Thank you ver much :)

Just email the visa office and let them know you are expecting in September. Then send them the birth certificate in September

1. You need to add the child to your application as a dependent (when born) submit copies of the birth certificate, passport and fee, and amend the IMM 5406 as well.

I am applying PR visa under FSW 2014. I just got the 1st letter of positive response. In the mean time we became parents of a baby girl and she is not included in PR application. How could I inform about the birth of new born baby or in which mail add should I send the info and which info need to be send while sending the mail? My baby's passport in not ready yet. I am applying from outside of Canada.
