Adding New born Baby after submitting the PR Application

Hi Guys,

Need your help or suggestions. I have submitted my profile (AOR - 2nd Sept 2020) under CEC after I travelled to India from Canada in Aug 2020 (Completing 2 years from Aug 2018 in Canada). Before I travelled back to India my Work permit extension was already filed which was approved in Oct 2020 till Oct 2022. Since my organization was planning for my return back to Canada in Feb 2021 I got my medicals done for myself and my dependents (spouse and daughter) and got our passport stamped but since flights were banned we could not travel.

In June 2021 we were blessed with twins, so sent the following documents to IRCC to add them to my file in Sept 2021.
1. Passport copies
2. Birth Certificate
3. Digital Photo
4. IMM008 Form (of Myself with new dependents details)

After that I travelled to Canada on work permit alone in Oct 2021 and shared my new work permit, contact details and new offer letter to IRCC via web form and requested IRCC to consider approval of my file as that I am bring my family to Canada. Parallelly I am initiating Visitor visa for the Twins (other dependents spouse and elder daughter already have stamping and permits issued) so which I got the Medicals done. The same I shared with the IRCC recently via webform for the PR file.

I have not received any update from IRCC on my profile. Now here is something that I am trying to figure -
1. Is IMM008 form of myself enough or do I need to submit it for my spouse as well.
2. I have read in some forums I should sent the updated Family Information form. If yes would you please point me to right version of form that I should sent. Secondly if yes do I need to sent it for only myself or for my spouse as well.
3. Most forums say that We should pay the processing fee for the child upfront and share those details with IRCC as well. If yes, Could you please point me to correct link and amount that I need to pay for each child.
4. when I called and checked with IRCC customer rep in May 2020 I was conveyed that eligibility and background verification is complete though not updated in profile and I should wait for any further updates so Should I apply for GCMS notes since its been more then 6 months. I have not applied for GCMS notes up till now.
5. Will any of these impact the parallel Visitor visa that is in process.

Would appreciate your valuable suggestions.

@vijayb104 Pr process is a separate from the visitor visa process. So, there will be no impact.

I applied under MPNP paper based in april2020,AOR 2Nov.2020, send documents New born baby in July 2021,did upfront medical for all in sep2021...not any update yet, estimate processing time is going to finish in January...any hope and anyone in same boat

I applied to sponsor (Canadian citizen by naturalization) my wife(outland application) in february 2020 under family class(PR), Office cpc-Mississ, still waiting for decision made and passport request, My wife has baby due in January 2022. What should I do after baby born. i know baby is canadian citizen by birth.
1) should i apply for temporary passport?
or
2)should i have to apply for citizenship certificate first??
3)what should i do If my wife will get the ppr request?

@vijayb104 I am not sure abt that exactly. I am aware that IRCC uses smth called IME number to link the medical reports to the UCI ID. If you have that for the medical exams perhaps you can use it for both.

yeah I checked with IRCC customer rep, looks like it should not be an issue.

@har_nav as your medical exams are valid till Apr 2022, IRCC has not requested a re-med. You can do an upfront exam ofcourse, but currently it is taking time to link upfront exams so do expect delays.

Hi @vikrantkumar91 - you need to raise a webform and inform IRCC about the change in family composition. They will require both birth certificate and passport for the newborn, so please be ready with these documents too in the meantime.

congratulations on the progress made. I requested to add my new born after PPR in September and I've sent all necessary documents since September but no update on my account showing that my baby's application is being processed. Please what do you think I can do to make a difference in the application.
