Hello, all.

I am adding my partner on my application, and i am still waiting for my medical email. I sent an email to CIC to let them know my relationship status has been changed. i got an email from them, here it is:

Updated IMM0008 Application for Permanent Residence in Canada to be completed by the Principal Applicant;

· A completed and signed IMM5406 Additional Family Information by your common-law partner;

· A completed and signed IMM5669 Schedule A by your common law partner;

· A completed and signed IMM4509 Statutory Declaration of Common-law Union;

· Evidence of cohabitation between yourself and partner for one year or more;

· A copy of your common-law partner’s valid passport;

· A copy of your common-law partner’s birth certificate;

· An original police certificate for all countries your common-law partner has lived for more than 6 months since the age of 18 years; (for more information, consult the following link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp);

· *If applicable*- A divorce certificate for your common-law partner, if he/she was previously married

How to add your common-law partner to your Permanent Resident application:

In order to add your common-law partner to your application for Permanent Residence, the following documents must be provided for this person (in addition to the control documents indicated above):

· Processing fees for your common-law partner if he/she will be accompanying yourself to Canada

· Four (4) recent passport-size photos. For more information, please consult the following link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/photospecs.asp

But i have a few questions here:

In IMM0008 form: it asked my partner if he took english test, but in the email they didn't ask my partner's english test result. Does he need to take it?

IMM5406 Additional Family Information: When my partner fill out this form, so he would be the principal applicant? because it will be filled out by my partner??

Also, when i send all these forms, my partner needs to attach National identity document? Or Birth certificate would be enough?

Thank you.

I am planning to add my partner to my application as well. I have received my PER mail 2 days ago and the reason why I didn't include her in the first place was that she is still married (annulment was filed years back but wasn't approved). We've been living together since 2006 and have documents to prove.

Where did you send the e-mail to update your relationship status? Did you declare that you are in a common law relationship on the application form you sent to CIO?

No, no for CEC. Remember, it's a generic form, meaning applicants from other programs use the same form.

IMM5406 Additional Family Information: When my partner fill out this form, so he would be the principal applicant? because it will be filled out by my partner??

There is only one Principal Applicant (you). But he needs to fill out this form from his perspective, so it's about HIS additional family information.

Also, when i send all these forms, my partner needs to attach National identity document? Or Birth certificate would be enough?

Depends - does his country of citizenship have a national identity document? If it does, yes, he needs to include it. If it doesn't, then obviously no.

Is the " A completed and signed IMM4509 Statutory Declaration of Common-law Union;" form required for the spouse ? I always thought this form needs to be filled only in case of if you are in a live-in relationship. If you are married legally as per law, then this is not needed right ?

Could someone please confirm ?

Adding a partner on my application - Need advise on GCMS notes

Please provide advise.

I applied PR under Economic class on Jan 17th 2014 and got AOR on 21st FEB 2014. I received Medical on 31st July 2014 and completed medicals on Aug 14th . In CIC website it shows "Medicals have been received". After that I added my wife and send documents along with Marriage photos on Sep 17th 2014 to my existing processing application along with her visitor visa medicals ( she came to Canada from India , that time we did medicals).

While adding my spouse to my existing application , they didn't ask marriage questionnaires.

I requested GCMS notes on Dec 31st 2014 and received 25th Jan 2015 , in that

Created Date : 2014/10/07
Text:** FOR OFFICER ** please confirm if marriage questionnaires and /or photos are required.Spousal add documents are located in GCMS- spouse added to application and medicals uploaded from GCMS.

Please let me know if any one faces similar situations and provide me link to get those questionnaires.

Is it good to send marriage questionnaires to CIC even if they didn't ask us?

Sorry to revive an old topic, but wondering if anyone has had a successful experience with this so far?
I have already recieved an ITA under Canadian Experience Class. In EE, i declared myself as single. Is it OK to add my partner now, when applying for PR? The reason is we just recently realized he does not qualify for any immigration class, as we are on PGWP and he did not complete 1 year of work, and his work permit is expiring soon. I am thinking to add him to my application. I had a score of 471, have done all my medicals so dont want to decline offer and re-enter pool!

I think I have mentioned this to you before - is it OK to? Yes, in fact in your case, it is mandatory (it is misrepresentation if you don't).

But CAN you do it? I don't know, as I understand that the profile is "locked" after the ITA is issued, so I don't know if the system will ALLOW you to do it. Again - have you attempted to to do it?

I am a principal applicant under CEC express entry and has a PR in process and have given information about my dependents in my application but they are unaccompanying members, now is it still possible to make them accompanying by sending in few forms.
I wonder if i can still include them as adding them now would decrease my CRS eligibility points and lead to rejection.
Any experience guys?
