Hey all,

I filed for PR for my brother who was under 18 years living in India before few years. The file got rejected back in 2013/2014, stating a reason that 'you should sponsor your parents first then brother/sibling'.
Now, I am applying to sponsor my parents on PR. My question is, Can I add my brother(who is now 24-25) ?? or would the whole file be affected just because of adding my brother to the file knowing the fact that he has got rejection once !!
Please reply me soon..!!
Thanks all..!!

Hi

Unless your brother is completely dependent on your parents because of a mental or physical disability, he can't be included in the app.

Thanks for your reply ..!!

He is not. completely normal, graduating in few months with mechanical degree.
The only fear I have is his rejection. I dont want that to affect my parents' file.

You can't add your brother as he's no longer a dependent. There is no point to even attempt to add him.

If he wants to immigrate to Canada he'll need to do so independently through one of the economic streams after he has suitable work experience in a qualifying field.

I dont meet minimum necessary income completely. For the years 2014 and 2016 I actually exceed the minimum income but for the year 2015 I am short of $6000 annually due to my visit to home country for 3 months. Should I go ahead with the application or not?

Sigh. No, you shouldn't go ahead with your application. You don't meet the basic requirement to qualify and your app would eventually be refused.

Why would you submit the app if you don't meet LICO for 1 of the required years? And why did you apply to the lottery if you didn't even meet income requirements?
You will just waste processing fees only to be rejected in the end. If you are off by even $1 in just one of the years, you'll be rejected. Unless you have a spouse that can be a co-signer and add their income to qualify.

With qualifying income in 2016, 2017 and 2018, you can probably qualify for and apply to the lottery in January 2020.
