My wife and kids live in Canada as permanent residence, before she got her pr she added me (late 2017) to her application but no acknowledgement of receipt, now she and my kids got their pr (nine months ago)and I'm yet to get any sign of mine.
She called cic from Canada and she was told my file is now in Ghana and should contact Ghana office, I sent a mail few months ago and I was told my Application is on queue, after waiting for few months again I decided to send another mail so I was asked to send my details again. I did and another email came almost immediately stating that my Application has been located and I should fill form Imm0008, schedule A and additional family info, scan copy of my passport, birth certificate and any other documents I know is important to my Application.
My questions are-:
Where do I stand?
Does it mean my Application has not been treated at all?
Does this mean the forms I filled before that was submitted by my wife in Canada got missing or it's normal to fill another for Ghana office?
What other documents do I need to send?
Do I send all the forms and other documents through DHL or scan them and attach?
Having my file in Ghana, does this mean my wife's add-on request has been approved?
I currently have valid Visa and I travel to Canada twice a year to see my family, do I need a fresh Visa if approved or can I travel with my valid Visa?
The guys in Ghana have been nice and very swift with their response.
