Hello Readers/Experts

I am a telecom Engineer, MSc Telecom, Working in Ericsson and have 04 year + technical experience.

I have sent my OINP-Human Capital Stream Application just yesterday. Due to personal engagements i.e. Job and studies, my spouse and infant daughter are not accompanying me at the movement and can only join me in 2017.

My spouse has done IELTS with CLB 6, can i claim 05 points for that in adaptability part? Reason i ask this is that for Funds part, I maintained funds for 03 family members as it says "accompanying or non-accompanying", so whether i can claim for non- accompanying spouse for IELTS, WES, Work Experience.

Thanks
Ali

I would highly recommend you to include all of your family members in your application in the first place and pay their fees as well. Once you get your visa and subject to validity of their medical exam (usually one year) you can land Canada first and delay their arrival but you must include all your family members in the first place. As there are chances you will not be able to get their points if they are not accompanying with you and if you don't include them in your application and pay their fees it will be difficult for them to get their visa separately.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Another hurdle in applying with family was that if I had enter CIC profile with family my points, points would be less that 400 .. around 390.. I would not have got OINP invitation anyway.

I secures 414 points when i entered the profile alone, (though it was not intentional as i didnt know about OINP).

My next question would be, can I apply for OINP with my family even if the CIC profile do not include my family?

Thanks
Ali
