My son's father was a Canadian but he's dead please can my ward by anyway get Canadian citizenship? And if yes what are the requirements to make. Thank you
Check in the other forum, but if the father was a citizen when the child was born, he should be a citizen and only need to apply for the evidence thereof. (There is an exception that depends how the father got citizenship, but that's sort-of before the courts now - not owrth going into now). Proof of the father's citizenship and the boy's parentage would be needed.
Note, the child's citizenship confers no benefits on you as an adopted parent/guardian.
