Acknowledgement on receipt of application - CIC

Hello All ,

People who gave renewed their PR's , can you please advise if we would be receiving an acknowledgement from CIC after receiving our applications.

Its been a month since i had couriered my applications and no emails since (feeling tensed).

when did you received such acknowledgement/Application number .(timeframe plz)

Folks anyone who is now tracking your status ,
when did u receive an email acknowledgment and a tracking number.

You will not receive anything until they start processing your application. Current wait is 180 days. So that's approx 6 months. As of this week cic is processing applications received Sep 16/2015.

We sent in the application late September and did not receive an acknowledgment of recipey until just a week ago when they stared processing the application
