Acknowledgement of application?

I have (finally!) submitted the application for my wife to sponsor me to become a permanent resident of Canada. I know the application arrived because I sent it via FedEx. My question is, when should I expect to hear anything? Will I be sent an acknowledgement of receipt immediately? Or will I only hear after the initial assessment of my wife's eligibility (i.e., 2 months or so)?

AOR, Acknowledgement of receipt is currently taking around 45-65 Days. Then Sponsorship Approval comes 1-4 weeks after. Averages.
