sailing in same boat.. did my application on 1st june. no acknowledgment mail yet. also, cant link my application to gckey.. plz do post your visa decision here.I don't have family name on my passport and also don't have uci or application number because I haven't got any acknowledgement letter mentioning file number. Bad luckjust tracking on vfs, it says application is being processed at Canada visa office chandigarh and waiting for passport to be dispatched.

Dont worry, acknowledgement letter doesn't have any significance. I didn't receive one too but my medicals were recently updated
how you know that your medical was updated coz m not able to link my file online.. :/
I linked using my last name. All I'm saying is it doesn't matter if you receive acknowledgment letter, your file will still be processed. It's just you wouldn't know your uci and application number.
I have applied for Student visa paper based through VFS delhi on 25/06 but not yet received any acknowledgement email stating application number and UCI number.Is this a matter of worry or normal scenario at this time?As i didn't received any application number yet I also couldn't trace my file online through GCKEY.

When shall I expect final decision on my file? as my session begins on 5th September. I am bit nervous about visa.
