Thanks god that I got my AOR letter today!!! Woohoo!! So much pressure released!
Again, thanks all for giving so much info here.

sophieee..Work permit issued after 4 months of...?? stage 1? This is a great news! I love to work..haha!
Me and my hubby do know Hong Kong office work much faster actually, but we would like to stay put together and I can start adapting life here as well...so, we chose to apply inland. Is always Pros and Cons :)

I understand, but as I said it's not different in the two process, you could stay here in Canada with your husband even with an outland application in process. The chance for an interview is very low if you don't have red flags.

I'm glad that you received the AOR and don't want to scare you, but it happened before that whole applications was returned even after AOR was received. So it's really good that now you have a UCI and a file number, but still make sure to send everything that can be missing with an explanation letter.

Have you sent an OWP application along with your PR app? If not, follow this guide and send your OWP to Vegreville
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1exVjDW_qTVuCdi9Fnd5pKlOSA-XJ82Z4JDUZkUtQrE8/edit#heading=h.pc9y7jm7ysay
If you sent it already than you don't need to do anything just wait wait wait :P

If you would like to be added to the spreadsheet (you can find the link in my signature) please let me know about the date CIC received your application.

Congrats that will be a weight of your mind!

Hi there.
I applied for inland sponsorship in February 2014 and then my package was returned with UCI number in June as it was missing a signature.
We sent it back the next day and since then we didn't hear anything back...not even AOR...
What does AOR say? Does it have a file number? I am confused if UCI number is the same as the file number...
I am so frustrated :(

UCI is your `Unique Client Identifier' number and is NOT the same as your file number. For a spousal Sponsorship application, you will have a file number that begins with F (F123456...for examle). The UCI number that you saw in June was the number for the sponsor. The applicant will not know their UCI number until much later in the process.

But if you have a UCI given you will be able to track it at one point ( usually after SA in outland) but inland processing takes longer so it may be a little while before you hear anything.
