My wife received notification of her upcoming Oath date via ECAS last week. It stated that a letter was sent and also stated the date and said the oath would be at 4pm. Her letter arrived the same day and also stated 4pm. However, on the CIC website listing the citizenship ceremonies in Edmonton, it states that the ceremony is at 5pm.
We are of course going to follow the directions on the letter, but has anyone else had this issue after obtaining their oath letter?
I am wondering if they just want people to show up early for registration, etc and the actual ceremony won't be until 5pm. I am just thinking in regards to people we want to invite to be there, when they should actually be coming. We were already planning to show up an hour early at 3pm to line up.
Can anyone please share their experiences about the oath date and how accurate the ceremony website listing is?
Thanks,
