Which CPA?Hi
Does anyone know which is better to get a job in Canada - the CPA or ACCA? Or are there better alternatives to these? And which gives a wider range of options
Preferably CPA ontario. Do each differ with job offers?Which CPA?
Thank you! If I am an international student what do you advise me to do in order to get the Canadian CPA so I can work in Canada?Hi! CPA is the preferred qualification for accountants here. You will get into any accounting job with it.
Take the CPA Program. However, you should have at least a student permit (minimum) to be eligible.Thank you! If I am an international student what do you advise me to do in order to get the Canadian CPA so I can work in Canada?
Hello. Please which is better. To get a diploma or Masters that covers some of the CPA courses, or to do the CPA exams from scratch. Which is cheaper??Take the CPA Program. However, you should have at least a student permit (minimum) to be eligible.
Feel free to ask me. I'm a CPA. Passed the CPA Canada Exams and currently a Controller in a company here.

Honestly no. You need a job offer with a LMIA. The employer needs a positive LMIA and show that they could not find any Canadian or PR to do the job. For an employer the process costs money and takes months (right now could be a year) to process. Then you apply for a closed work permit. Again the process takes months.Hello Guys,
I have complete my MBA in Finance and had a professional experience of 20 year in Trading Company.
Is there any chances to get a work permit visa in Canada and then apply for Permanent Residence of Canada.
There is also a surplus of finance workers so you are unlikely to find employers willing to hire people unless they can work in Canada or it is a transfer within a company at a senior level. If you have 20 years experience you are likely over 40 which makes securing PR much more difficult. The economic immigration programs favour young people. If you have a good career which is lucrative it often doesn't make sense to immigrate unless there are some personal reasons for immigrating like wanting to spend more time in Nature.Hello Guys,

Just curious, when you say there's a surplus of a certain type of people in an occupation, where do you usually get the information to come to that conclusion? There is also a surplus of finance workers so you are unlikely to find employers willing to hire people unless they can work in Canada or it is a transfer within a company at a senior level. Based on numerous things like information from people in the industry, data from the government, personal experience, professions in demand in PNP programs, etc. I only comment on a few jobs/industries that I am familiar with. World events can also have an impact on certain sectors. This is the case with the finance sector at the moment. Between Brexit and the uncertainty in HK many people in finance are relocating to other locations and many Canadians working in HK and London are moving back to Canada. Was already pretty common for people working in finance to consider moving back to Canada once they had children especially when the kids go to school. When you start looking at getting a larger home, cost of schooling, etc. in places like NYC, HK, London, Dubai, etc. Canada is extremely affordable and also very safe and stable.Just curious, when you say there's a surplus of a certain type of people in an occupation, where do you usually get the information to come to that conclusion?
