Account balance requirement after PR stamping

My PR got approved and I have sent my passports have gone for stamping. I need to know, do we still need to maintain the minimum account balance even after getting the stamping done? Do they check the bank statement during immigration? My lawyer said that I should maintain the balance until I travel there, not sure why.

Maintain balance till the time you land in Canada.. Ppl are advised to carry POF (proof of funds) when they land.. Actually visa officer hardly asks for POF but better safe than sorry

Only until the time of or stamping.. not after the landing completed
