Hi,

I am new to this form and got series of question before I apply for Express Entry. Would appreciate all the answers. Thanks.

1. Is it better to accompany Spouse along with me or sponsor her after I get my own Express Entry? Do we get any points if I accompany Spouse?
2. Does spouse IELTS adds up more points ?
3. ECA - Spouse's mandatory?

Thanks,
Rakesh

1. Better to bring your spouse with you, if you bring your spouse later then he/she can not enter in canada alone, dependents must be accompanied by the primary applicant.
2. Yes. details http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp
3. No. But will gain up-to additional 10 points depends on the degree acquired.

Thanks a lot!!!

I have one more quick question for point 2.

I went through the link and see that the "Points per factor - With a spouse or common-law partner" is always lesser than "Points per factor - Without a spouse or common-law partner"

Normally, you said it would add the points, but in all the cases, points show lesser when the spouse is included. I did not understood this. Appreciate it if you can clarify this as well.

Thank you.

there are two columns on point chart as you noticed; as you are married you have to consider "with a spouse" column.Less points are set to balance the points with unmarried people as married people got a chance to increase their points using their spouse's ability on several factors.
