Accessing employment opportunities

Please I need help in securing a job. I have a degree in HR and was recently admitted to apply for immigration to Canada. I reside in Nigeria and I would like help accessing employment opportunities.

So maybe clarify , you have been approved for PR and have your COPR already or have you just started the application process ?

It is almost impossible to secure a job from outside of Canada and even if you have a COPR until actually in Canada

You can check sites such as Indeed or Linkedin or simply Google HR jobs in Canada

I am on the federal skills program waiting list. I have been on the list since September and is a bit concerned. I do not have family in Canada, so, looking for ways to improve my chances.

Unfortunately securing a job offer before PR is not realistic.

You should look for other ways to increase your score and improve your chances (e.g. re-writing IELTS to achieve a higher score).

Yes you won't be hired from Nigeria until you are living in Canada and can attend interviews in person, particularly in the field of HR as that is a common field of employment here and there are many people in that field, and of course plenty of jobs but no skill shortage
