Hi All,

I am trying to request the individual record from IRCC, I am currently holding a workpemit and live in Canada, but I just want to know what is the different between requesting information under Access to Information act or Privacy act other than the $5 process fee. Becuase I am requesting both electronic notes of the immigration or citizenship officer(s) and application, supporting documents and correspondences sent to and/or IRCC.

thanks

You can use the Privacy Act since you have status in Canada and you are ordering info about yourself.

Access to Information is if you will request files for a relative or friend who is not in Canada, for example.

The content will be exactly the same from either act.
