Hello everyone,

I and my spouse were nominated by SINP. We decided to accept the nomination because there was a 30-day deadline for that and, even with CRS 475, the amount of ITAs was - until last week - not enough for us to go directly by FSW, without the need of a PNP.

1) However, today there was a draw that called people with >= 475 points, and I have 1075 (475 + 600). If I decline the ITA, do I lose those 600 SINP points, being able to wait the next draw with such a good score? (Going directly through FSW and having the freedom to settle down wherever I want in Canada)

2) What do you think it is more recommended to do? SK has job market for us and if we go through them, we will settle down there, for sure. But our main plan, before SK, was BC or Ontario.

No judgements, please. We just need some orientation, because if we had a chance, we would choose BC or Ontario over SK.

Thanks

U can live anywhere in Canada after getting PR. THIS is Canadian citizen, PR fundamental right.

OK this is entirely my own perception - but since you asked.

SK is lot easy to settle down and life supposed to be easy as well in terms of costs and such things. This is the best option to go for as you have good job market for your profession. If I were in your position, then I would go to SK, get settled. Later when you have savings and are used to with Canadian lifestyle and culture, you could move to BC or elsewhere where desired. Moving is not that hard if you have much courage and spirit to do that. I wouldn't suggest to gamble with the option that is already in hand and not harmful.

Again, it's only my own point of view, so don't take it for granted. Think about your logical convenience.

How to deal with this, then? http://www.oopnp.com/2016/09/19/sinp-voids-nominations-to-immigrants-for-province-relocation-pr-status-may-be-removed-soon/ :'(

wow tabloid journalism spills to immigration blogging

The only ground for this is they've found evidence of settling in another province after nomination approval. This includes actions like buying a house in BC, or lining up jobs in Ontario, or buying land and cattles in Alberta prior to landing as PR. Because it indicates an intention of settling otherwise prior to landing. Even these example is a stretch and could fall off under scrutiny of the court.

let them fight in SCC. Section 6 of Charter is on our side
