Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hey there,

I’m in a pretty frustrating position right now. Beginning of 2015 I entered the Express Entry pool and I got accepted for the FSW category.
The information I’ve provided about my work experience was accepted for the FSW criteria.

At the moment I’m under review for the OOPNP. I have received an email from them stating that they now doubt I fulfil the work experience criteria.
Is this even possible, since I’ve been accepted into the pool?

I have over 4 years of work experience in the same NOC category (with different job titles). However I don’t have 12 months continuous work experience. I was hired on contract base mostly. I’m working at the moment for 9 months in the same job and I have reached the amount of hours 1560 that the FSW program requests.

I’ve been given 30 days to provide more information to fulfil the criteria. Feedback and advice is much appreciated!

to answer only this part of the question.
Yes, this is possible since at the time of creating your profile and filling out details, you are accepted into the pool based on your own claims.
Your documents are later reviewed and your eligibility will be confirmed or refused, based on the documents you provide.

Research the eligibility again and try to make your case accordingy.

Makes sense. It's just that i've never claimed to work for 12 months continuously. I've been very honest about all the information that i've provided.

Yes, Express Entry checks for work experience for FSW in the past 10 years.
While OINP requires FSW applicants to have the work experience in the past 5 years.

But perhaps your case as you suspect is more about the continuous job.

Unfortuntely, key requirement for FSW (often overlooked) is to have atleast 1 year of continuous fulltime or part time experience in last 10 years. So while your experience does full fill the hours and cumulative months' requirement, it missed out on the fact that atleast 12 months of the total should have been continuous. Once you have that, you can apply. Here is the excerpt from CIC's website:

Skilled work experience
You must have at least one year, in the last ten years before you submit your electronic application for permanent residence, of continuous full-time work experience (or the equivalent in continuous part-time work) in a skilled occupation listed in Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B of the 2011 version of Canada’s National Occupational Classification (NOC).
