I am currently in my last year at university,Now due to covid we were forced to go in to virtual learning and there was an issue with a lockdown browser when i was giving my online exam,I emailed my professor that it is not working and he asked me to give my exam on zoom. When i submitted the exam and every thing was done i received no grade so i asked the professor why was that and he said there is evidence that you violated academic integrity and have a academic honesty cases against you in process and they will suspend me from the faculty as they have "evidence" for a year,I tried contacting the student advisor but due to winter break no one answered.I was wondering if worst come worst scenario they will suspend me from the faculty would i be able to register open courses(like from other faculty) to keep my student status active or should i withdraw from the university and go back home as i am an international student

Dont worry man!
One of my friends had also faced a situation little bit like this. Then he described the whole case to the uni. He had failed that course as he had less marks in assignments and passed it later. No chances of deport in your case. You could be fined for $100-$150. Nothing much. So be relax. You will got reply soon regarding this after the holidays.

It will be up to the university to determine what the consequences are if you cheated. Obviously if you didn't cheat then you should defend yourself. Punishments can vary from failing the course to suspension. If you are suspended it will be from the entire university. Would wait to see what the outcome will be. I have never heardof a monetary fine for cheating at a university. It isn't like a parking ticket.
