Hi members,

My academic performance has been really poor and I plan to give 100% for the rest of the program. I havent been able to even finish my diploma(60credits) in 5 years. Will it have a big effect when applying for PGWP and PR application???

Thanks

Man...thats a way too much time to finish a 2 years course...You should have changed your studies way earlier ....have you already applied for PGWP?

Read all the requirements for PGWP on the immigration website dont think there is a problem with taking too long as long as you followed the rest of the rules such as being a fulltime student and only working the allowed hours etc.

Relax! it doesn't.. it only 'matters most' when seeking for a study permit extension

No I was full time throught the years, except for one year. During that time I stopped working as well. I was facing personal problems which didnt let me focus.
According to CIC, Student needs to be full time for the entire course of their duration except the final Semester...If you are part time anytime in between you are very much likely to be refused

But I did get an extension after having the gap. Does CIC require to submit the transcript as well or is it just the completion of studies certificate?

You will get Study Permit extesnion easily because its only requirement is that you are still in College but for PGWP the Officer might ask you for your transcript while reveiwing your application or will simply refuse your application by stating that he belives you were not full time during your entire study period

So, employer sponsor it is? Or do you think there is another option?
