I did the academic module of IELTS and I scored overall 8. Is it compulsory to do the general module when i am applying for PR under federal skilled worker.

Academic will be accepted.... no problem in it. I had applied with academic and was given 14 points.

It's up to the IO if they will accept Academic or not. Immigration clearly states that you must take General Training but several people have said they applied with Academic and it was accepted. If your Academic is less than a year old, you can try it.

Leon, you are clear about your opinion but since I got accepted I guess others also should be given the same preference. Anyways, let each one decide. I said my case cuz I have gone thru the tension whether academic will be accepted or not. I had done academic thinking that its a superior exam and will be accepted for both cases.
