Hi, I am applying for Residency under the Skilled Worker Programme but first need a Quebec Selection Certificate, so I am dealing first with Quebec Immigration. I have called them but they are unable to tell me if I need to sit the general or academic exam, yet they have the power to tell me in six months time that I sat the wrong exam. Hmmm.
Does anyone here know? Anyone who has dealt specifically with Quebec Immigration before or is it the same criteria for IELTS as Canadian Immigration? Absolutely impossible to find definitive information on this.
My trade of Pharmacy Technician is not a regulated profession by Quebec laws and I will not be attending any academic institution. This leads me to believe that the general exam will be sufficient but I'm not certain.
As it happens it is way more convenient for me to sit the next academic exam available, as my only option to sit a general exam within the available time frame happens to be on the same day as my sisters wedding.
Anyone know which exam I am supposed to sit and if it's the general one and I sit the academic one anyway will it be refused?
My head is in a spin over this and I would greatly appreciate any help.
