Hi All,

I submitted my passports on 4th March 2019 via Aramex and passports were delivered to ADVO on 6th March. No news since then.
I already have confirmed tickets to Toronto on 11th April. Getting really anxious now. Looking at the delay from ADVO, I might have to re-schedule my tickets.

Any point sending mail to ADVO asking them to expedite the process?

I think you can raise a CSE and explain the situation. They might expedite it. But in all cases, delays are happening to most of us and looks like ppl are getting their passports back after 30 to 40 days

Hi all,

I submitted my passports on 4th March 2019 via Aramex and passports were delivered to ADVO on 6th March. However, there was no update till 31st March.

I mailed ADVO (abdbiimmigration@international.gc.ca) on the night of 31st March stating that I had confirmed tickets to Toronto on 11th April and requested them to kindly expedite the visa stamping process. I also attached a copy of my ticket for reference.

Coincidently, my status was updated to APPROVED on 1st April.

Now, I am not sure if the mail did the trick or it was a mere coincidence.

So, In case anyone is in a similar situation, you may try sending a mail with authentic references. It might help to speed up the process.

Just had it approved. Funny enough it happened 30min after I raised a CSE to Abu Dhabi.

Received by ADVO on March 3rd, Approved on April 3rd

Hi mate, how did you know your application is there, what is your AOR?

Hey man! I have absolutely no idea about where my application is .
All I know is after submitting biometrics on 17th of March I am tracking it on vfs website. It just say
" Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canadian visa office , Abu Dhabi"

Hence the question if Abu Dhabi is a case processing centre or no?

My Aor is Jan 27. What about you?

Hello. I am wondering if anyone can guide me.

I sent my application documents on May 30, 2018.

I received my PPR on 12th March 2019.

Submitted to ADVO: 14th March 2019

I have flights booked for 12th April 2019 but have heard nothing back. I have raised a web form, called the embassy but no luck whatsoever. I even emailed them with my tickets attached. I am quite stressed and worried. Even if I change my flight, I have no idea what date to change it to since I have no visibility of how long this could take. Have missed 2 work trips too because I have not had my passport with me for 24 days. :( Is there anything else I can do to get more info? Friends who applied with me got passports back in 4 days!

Seen many cases whereby they issue the COPR 30 days after they received it (happened to me as well)

I say keep your tickets on hold until you get confirmation (I think airlines can do that for some fee).

I know the wait is frustrating but not much can be done.

Good luck

Thanks for your response. Yes, seems like the only thing to do is sit tight and wait. Just didn't expect such further delays after receiving PPR. :(
