What about calling them?

Was tempted to call the Embassy last week, but saw a post from someone who tried doing the same thing and was told that the Embassy does not entertain such enquiries over the phone, and that he/she would have to send in an email. I sent in an email enquiry, however that clearly hasn't worked.

I will try an call them tomorrow morning as my submission moves into 3 weeks of waiting. Hope I have better luck on getting a clearer status update.

if there are any corrections with our application, they would send us an email by this time, right? like if they rejected my photos that i've sent to them. today is day 15 for me since they got my passport
I am wondering and worried about the same

What I would be interested to know here is: are the passports processed and stamped in the same order as they are received by the Embassy or is there a different pattern to the process. Like, does it also depend on the date of PPR, nationality, or something else possibly...any idea about this?

I doubt the delay is connected to specific items as mentioned above. There are a group of us who applications are n a stalled/hold state probably because they are or have been focusing on reviewing newer EE applications that have been handed over to them by the CIO. The tracker on myimmitracker.com shows a number of applicants receiving their PPR via the Abu Dhabi office this past week. A bit silly, if thats the case as their creating another backlog for visa stamping.

damn... so if myCIC account is saying BGIP still (thats the case for me) then passport will not be ready for collection until it says approved there?? thats just not right...

Guys - I have submitted my passport for stamping and COPR with VFS canda Dubai. They will send it to the ADVO. Do you know what is their average processing time for such cases? Is it really 30 working days as VFS informed me? I am planning to travel during Eid holidays and desperately need my passport by then

did you submit already ?? i would have strongly advised against it if you were planning to travel on eid

i submitted on 30th july, still have no idea when i will get my passport.. if i have no news by tomorrow then will have to indefinitely postpone all my travels including vacation...
my credibility at work is taking a serious hit becoz of this.... urgh

That s****. However , the guy at the counter told me that that i can take my passport back around 23th in case i still plan to travel while the processing is going on. When I come back after EId vacation, I can submit my passport again. I dont need to pay anything. Not a bad thing to do

I hate to break this to you, but there is a very slim chance that you would get your passport back before Eid, especially looking at the recent trends. There seems to be no way to fast track this or even approach the Embassy for an update, so the only thing you can do is wait. I have also submitted my passport a couple of days back and we would be extremely lucky if we were to get our passports back anytime soon. If I were in your place, I would surely not make any plans to go abroad for Eid, to spare myself the agony of having to cancel all those plans at the last moment. Let's hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

guess even you can do that..its not like your passport has to be in the embassy during this `processing period`.
