Hi
Can anyone give me an idea how much time the embassy in abu Dhabi takes to print the visa and send it back. I've heard it's nearly a month , is it seriously that long

Hi,

For me, its 22 days! I sent it March 13 and I received it last April 4th. Just be patient. Its the final stage! Congrats.. =) :P

I sent it 17th March, still waiting for them to get back to me :'(

I think they are busy with more apps or very slow.
As per my gm notes no update for more than 2 months after transfer file to abudhabi (I applied 2 notes 1 months cap both same)
just we have to wait pationtly. :(

Guys.. ADVO is the laziest LVO... rule is to sleep and ADVO will surprise you after some time :)

one of my frd.. having exactly same profile (education & job) and same Date of AOR is flying to CANADA next month. cos london visa office give him ppr really quickly.

n m stuck with ADVO and BC is not even in process.... Welcome to the Middle east way of doing things :)

well doesnt mater with the BG mine has been in progress since 17th march and still nothing and i feel every day is my day but again nothing.

well after all its middle east....

and ADVO doesnt work on fridays and saturdays and CIC doesnt work on sundays so we ahve only 4 days in a week but one guy got a PPR email on friday and he is form ADVO.

so i think the PPR email doesnt come from the VO it comes from CIC so even if your VO is closed on friday we can still get a PPR on friday and even if our VO is working on Sunday we will still not get it on sunday.

so no wait till next week all the best and hang in there :)

For me,they took 28 days from the date of received. I am sure, you will get by end of this week.

What i have seen from ADVO that they are waiting till due date or 30 days.

Wait for this week.

Hey Guys :D

I received my stamped passports just a little while ago. Sent them on 17th March and got them back today - 13th April. SO nearly a month.
I have a couple of questions -

1. In my COPR, it's written in big bold letters across the page - not valid for travel ?? What does this mean ?
2. COPR also says my destination city is Toronto as I had mentioned that in my initial application. However, now can I enter from a different port of entry or do I have to stick to Toronto ??

So excited now that I finally have the visa stamped. Good luck guys !

Congrats and good luck with your move and trip, keep us updated on your landing experience and settlement in general.

As for your questions, as per my limited knowledge:

1- That means that you cannot use it as a travel card when you exist Canada after landing there the first time, you would need your PR card to re-enter and the CoPR would not be accepted or you can obtain a travel card from offshore if you leave Canada before obtaining your PR card( or something like that, i forgot the exact name).

2- As far as I know, you can land anywhere in Canada unless you have a Provincial nomination then you HAVE to land in the province that nominated you.

Regards,

Guys!!

Applicants from AVDO are very quite. seems like nothing is happening .....

No report of PPR or BG going to in process .

Please share any update , if you have , it will help others...

I've been asking to same. Haven't heard much from Abu Dhabi Applicant's in the past couple of weeks. I believe the ones who received their visas two-three weeks ago were the ones sharing their timelines but are most likely busy with preparations and making the best of their achievement now. :)

Any new PPR from ADVO anybody?

No Movement! Only waiting....... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Thanks a million. Appreciate the prompt reply. I am planning to move to BC, yet to decide on the city though. I would have to resign from the present job, so thinking of moving mid - Aug. Need to enter before 13th of Sep.
