Thank you for inviting me to this thread.
actually my application is still in CIO - CPC Ottawa. It hasn't cleared R10 yet due to file being held awaiting response from PS regarding PC.

this is the mystery statement that the GCMS notes ends with. Since 07 Jan, there has been no progress on my application and I am approaching the 6 months mark. I think I will soon join the thread of people who have AOR for 6 months and more!!

when did you order GCMS notes last ?

Hi guys,

I submitted my passport to ADVO for visa stamping on April 16th via courier, but haven't got it back until now. The issue is I'll need my passport to travel out of the country on May 4th. :'( I've emailed abdbiimmigration@international.gc.ca and abdbi@international.gc.ca asking about the processing status, but haven't heard anything back other than the standard auto reply.

Do you know if there is a way to check the status or to expedite it?

BTW, here is the status shown in MyCiC:
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. Doesn't the PPR mean that my application already met the eligibility requirements? ::)
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

I have no idea how to expedite the case besides emailing them. But going by reports on this thread, it takes 3 weeks for them usually to turn this around.

Hi all.

I am Dec (30th) AOR and a Pakistani applicant. I am confused after my call to CIC. At what stage does the file go to the LVO? I called up Ottawa office and they told me things are in order and it is in normal processing time as well so I should wait a little longer.

My file was still at Ottawa and had not been sent to the LVO designated for Pakistani applicants. Although my medicals have been passed and my additional documents request as well, both in January. My BG changed to in process end of March. So all this is happening at the Ottawa office. at what stage shall the file be sent to the LVO? When its passed and only for PPR request initiation?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, johnsyk! This week is going to be the 3rd week for me and I hope I'll get my passport back by Thursday in time for my trip.

Thanks, tonykaram123! Keeping someone's passport for 21 working days is insanely long! :o

I didn't submit through VFS, but went for the courier option.

Anyone recently received passport(s) back from the Abu Dhabi visa office? How long did it take?
