Nope, there was absolutely no updates. I had ordered GCMS notes earlier and hence got to know about a DUE DATE which they had put in it. I was not sure if anything would happen on that due date since I kept seeing posts on the forum that they ignore the due dates etc. However in my case, due date was put as 20th August ( file had moved to London on 20th July). So due date was a month from the time the file moved. 20th August was a Sunday so I think they worked on my file on 21st coz on 24th, I got my IP2 and PPR together in one shot!

There is a trend that they issue updates on Tuesdays and Wednesdays that's my hope

Hi Everyone. I got my PPR on 12.08 and since I had a pre planned travel scheduled frrom 20.08 for a month, I dropped in an email to Abudhabi Visa Office seeking an extension to the passport submission deadline of 30 days (PPT mail does not specify if calender days/working days). I promptly got an email to expect a response in 15 working days which is the first working day of next week.

Has anyone here sent an extension email request to the VO and if so , please advice if their reply was positive to such a request.

I submitted my passport yesterday to Wafi mall VAC around 3:00 PM Monday 28/08.
Now EId holidays will delay it. Hopefully the agents dont leave it all over their desk and run out of their office for holidays...

Anyway, Is there anything that can go wrong at the PPR stage?
Tell me something, I was a student in Canada 2008 - 2012(old Passport), worked 2013 - 2016(new passport) in Canada itself.
Yesterday,I submitted only my new passport..old one PP was not stapled to new one and just has visa stickers in it. Not the work permit papers...

ya'll think thats gong to be a problem???

Applied endorsement - 28 Jun
Received confirmation - 18 Jul
Applied Work permit ADVS- 14 Aug
File sent to IRCC for PR -16 Aug

Hang in there, mate. Eid holidays from tomorrow so 1 week delay minimum. hopefully u get it late next week or the week after.

@johnsyk I have a quick question. My Review of additional documents is at 'We do not need additional documents' however the Background check is still 'Not applicable'. Was that the case with your file as well and it changed to IP2 and right after you received PPR?
