Hello,
I need help!!!
I applied for my wife's immigration last year in May. Her first step was done by July 24 and the file was sent to Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi's office started her case on November 27, 2012. Since that time v didn't get any updates or any information. The website always states "In Process".
Someone suggested to me last month to apply Access to Information and Privacy, which I did. And I just received the details of her file, in which I found out that she has been given the visa on March 05, 2013. And we were suppose to send the required documents listed in the letter by 30 days from the date of the letter.
We never received any letter in the mail but we did recieve it in the spam folder of email. Our representative never received any communication either.
Could someone please tell me what this means, what shoud i do next, what are my options? Shouldn't Immigration Canada have updated the status of application on the website from "In Process" to "Decission Made"? Shouldn't they have contacted our representative or they are not required to do that and if they are not required to do that, then what is the purpose of having a representative? Shouldn't they have tried to communicate more than once as this is a legal document and sending it only via email is very risky as an error can be easily made while typing the email or it could be hacked by someone?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards;
Concerned Husband.
