Absence from Canada on PR renewal form

Hi everybody

Question 21 on the PR renewal form is about Travel History i.e. if one has travelled or lived outside Canada (i.e. absence from Canada).

Supposing I was outside Canada for the first three years of 5 years.

In those three years, I travelled extensively to many countries - should I give travel history of EACH and EVERY country that I visited?

One way of looking at it - explain every stamp that is there on the passport by giving the detailed travel history

Another way of looking at it - how does it matter? - after all I was away from Canada and therefore does not matter where I went since I was outside.

Which is the correct way of looking at the Travel History?

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You need to explain EVERY stamp in your passport along with details about each place you were while traveling.

Hi. CIC needs to check every detail of your travels during the 5 year period over which you are applying for renewal. I suggest you send a very detailed travel /work history to them.
Add additional pages in excel format . If your application is detailed, neat and well organized that's already a plus point for you. Always remember that there is a real human being at the other end who is going to receive this application and review it. That person has never met you, has no idea of your background. So if your application is neat , detailed and well organized, it's going to make the officer's review much easier. All the best
