even when landed PR's are struggling to get US visitor visa, then think about your chance.

who said PR are struggling for visitor visa of usa ? there is a just a simple interview which u have to pass. they just ask some questions like why you want to go , where you will stay etc

JD5 is quite correct, but he omitted to specify that it is applicants from India in particular who are facing great difficulty in obtaining visitor visas to the U.S. Even those who have been granted PR often must spend several years in Canada before receiving approval. Here in the Vancouver area, I know many who weren't actually able to visit the U.S. until after they'd been granted Canadian citizenship, at which point the visa was no longer needed.

There's no harm in trying. I think it only costs $160. Just make sure that you give the consul/VO an impression that you will not overstay in the US, and you have a legitimate reason for visiting the US. My sister, who's a permanent resident here in Canada, did not have a hard time getting a US visa. I also did not have a hard time getting one, but I applied in the Philippines. We both brought a lot of papers, bank statements, etc but the consul did not even ask for anything.
