Where are you? It depends where in the world are you to see if that service is even given. For example in the US you can try your luck and visit the consulate. There you can file a request. For Latin America you must file the Urgent request when applying.Mahg86 said:Hello,
Has anyone applied for trv filling urgent processing form recently?
I'm worried because I haven't received any response, and I have to travel next Monday, I don't know what to do... Any advice please thanks

In any of cases you need to show why is it urgent. Remember:
"Please note that your request for urgent processing will only be considered in exceptional circumstances. Not planning well in advance the processing of your application is NOT an exceptional circumstance that deserves urgent processing."
You can try and request it, but I don't think you have a case.gracethewanderer said:Hi I have the same case with her. My flight will be on May 31 I haven't heard anything about My application.. It was submitted
MAY 12. Im a cabin crew and we used to have it before as 1-2 ,days processing. In case maybe I can come TO VAC this time and request for urgent processing? I hope its ppossible.. I applied in Manila
You will know if they process it quickly. In Mexico they answer back within a week (usually takes between 2-3 weeks).Mahg86 said:Im in Bogotá Colombia
I already filled out that form when applied last week, may 12th, with all support documents.
I know that's not guarantee they will process my file quickly, but how do i know? That's why I'm asking how it works, if they respond by email or they just ignore if they don't see is urgent, I don't know what to do... I assume If I go there on Friday I'll get my passport back without any visa.
hi I'm staying as a passenger its my vacation.. I'll be staying in 5days only. Thanks.Jalex23 said:You can try and request it, but I don't think you have a case.
Anyway it depends on how long are you planning to stay, if it is less than 24 hours you don't need a TRV:
"Foreign nationals do not require a temporary resident visa if they seek to enter Canada as, or to become crew members of an aircraft, train or bus. Foreign nationals do not require a temporary resident visa if they seek to transit through Canada after working, or to work, as crew members of an aircraft, train or bus if they possess a ticket to depart Canada within 24 hours of their arrival. "
But if you are planning to stay longer, then you need a TRV. You should let knw your employer of this problem. Canadian Immigration is not resposnible for your employer scheduling work for you to a destiny where you are not allowed to enter (this could be planned, therefore you don't have a case).
Yeah, that one I had to fill out when applied, so they know I'm traveling next Monday, but still no answer :sJalex23 said:You will know if they process it quickly. In Mexico they answer back within a week (usually takes between 2-3 weeks).
I think Venezuela is around that timeline too, so I think your request wasn't accepted and got queued with all the others. =/
BTW it is called "Emergency Processing Request Form". This help us to give you a quicker response![]()
I'm not sure about that.Mahg86 said:Yeah, that one I had to fill out when applied, so they know I'm traveling next Monday, but still no answer :s
Btw, I checked the option of getting my passport back in case that they don't accept my urgency, so they just can't ignore it right?
Oh sorry to hear that... Well I went today to the vac here in bogota, and they told me that it's been processed and tomorrow I can go for my passport, hopefully with visa stamped, so it worked for me.bonitaellada said:I applied online for an emergency visa back in February from the US. My father was critical at the hospital in Canada. I sent the Dr's letter to the embassy pleading to grant me a visa ASAP. My father passed away 2 weeks after I applied. I sent them the funeral arrangements. It took 1 month to get a visa way after the memorial service.
There is no such thing as an emergency processing.
If my case was not urgent, I wonder what is considered as Urgent!
Gracias bonita, me dieron la visa hoybonitaellada said:Muchas gracias mahg y buena suerte para hoy día.
