Hello, everyone, I got a question about the deposit statement:
The checklist says "fixed or time deposit statement" but doesn't specify how long should the fund be fixed.
I have 18000 CAD in my account and I could make it be fixed deposit only for 2 month because i have to use this money after 2 months. Will this cause any problem? Please give me some info. Thanks

No need to make a deposit at all. You can request your current account statement and that's it. It must indicate the name of the bank and its contacts, your full name, and how much money you have on your account.

i am going to apply for pr in the next month. Regarding the proof of funds, i know we have to show only liquidated assets (correct me if i am wrong)

How many days should i hold the proof of funds in the account? one of my friends told me that i should hold the money until my visa is approved which seemed ridiculous to me. Please let me know how many days i can hold the cash in my account?

You can withdraw your money as soon as you get your bank account statement or reference letter from the bank. No need to freeze the money, this would be ridiculous.

Also, if you could confirm me, can i show any sources of money other than bank accounts, Fixed deposits, MO's & PF fund.

Please remember you will probably be requested to send a new POF including 6 months transactions history on a later stage (with med forms or with POVL). For more detailed information regarding other ways of showing POF rather than bank accounts please look for and refer to IMM 7000 guide.
