about re-applying after 5 years ban

Hi All,

Profile - study (Masters in computer science), 7 years teaching experience ,
Have a baby 13 years old and husband has his own business.
Got my Offer letter on 30th August this year for MBA from University Canada West for jan 2022

Concern- was banned by CIC for 5 years (from 6 june 2016to 6 june 2021) due to misrepresentation. An agent put wrong documents in my file and I came to know when I applied study visa on (21 march 2019 for may intake 2019).
I waited for 5 years for the ban to complete and reapply for study visa.

Please share if anyone had any experience or dealt with similar situation.

UCW is a crap school. It's a for profit school with an absolutely terrible reputation in Canada. It's a waste of your money and your chances of getting a study permit approved will be lower because IRCC knows it's a crap school.

I think everything about your profile is fine except for that.

Get yourself admitted to a public university program, then apply.

You have Masters and applying for another Masters at a private university where only international students go. Take a MBA at a public school like UBC if you want to stay in BC.

Can you get a refund of your fees?

It's a really bad school.

If you can, I would get a refund and get accepted into a different program at a public university.

Anyway, ultimately your choice what you do.

The program needs to build on your education and show career advancement in your current job or planned job (higher pay, promotion etc.).

Colleges offer diplomas. If you go for a straight diploma, you will be refused since this is a much lower level of study than a Master's.

You would need to take at least a post graduate diploma and then convince IRCC why you are pursuing these studies in Canada (since this is still a lower level of studies than the Master's you already have). Stay away from private colleges. They are bad just like private universities. Public colleges only.

That will be the most important document in your application package especially that you have been banned, you need to explain everything from A to Z.
