Hi,
I have applied for the "SIAST Continuing Care Assistant (Full-Time)" at the Park Land College,Saskatchewan for the academic term Jan 2013.I am a post graduate nurse(Msc.N), have an offer of place with them.I intend to apply for the diction letter and write CRNE when am there on a student visa thereby converting my status to work permit within an year of the post study work visa.
Let me share my profile with you

+2 - 68%
Bsc. Nursing - 73%
Msc. Nursing - 73%
Clinical Experience - 2 Years 6 Months
Teaching Experience - 6 Months
IELTS - L 8/R 7.5/w 7/s 7 [O V .7.5]

Since i am a newbie in the international education scene so i have a few questions about this college, this part of Canada and my profile.I hope experienced people of the forum will shed some light on my queries. My questions are as following:-

1. Is park land college any good for international students
2. If anyone can tell me about the program, if its suitable? Do anyone know anyone who have already done this?
3. The campus Location is at: Fort Qu'Appelle; how student friendly is this place - any ideas?
4.Am applying under SPP Program, does this college come under that category?
5. How easy is it to convert student visas to work permit?
6. Can i take my husband with me once i get settled with the place? how easy is spouse visas for students

This is what my agent offers for 3980 CAD fees, is it worth it?

- he will help me to get accommodation[i pay], offers free transportation to the college for the first 2 weeks
-he will assist in getting health card, social security number, insurance and other necessary processes (??)
-he will assist in getting a part time job! ( off campus before i get a permit)
- he will assist me to get an employer(nursing) after 6 months with whom i will start as a part time employee and then get converted into full time employment and work permit
- Assist me to get the school of nursing diction letter to write CRNE
- Provide free CRNE training with materials even after getting to Canada (training starts in India it seems)
- help me with PR process ( is it even possible?)

It would be really great if some one could answer this questions for me

Thank You

Hi dear its good to see someone applying for Saskatchewan.
First of all you need to tell about city in which you are applying !!
then by looking at the current CHC islamabad status it doesnt seem to be a good idea to apply for college as no of students got maximum rejection when they applied for college.
I cannot help you in your program !!! since its different from my discipline. but you know nursing is a well paid field in Saskatoon. Last year maximum amount of tax was paid by a Nurse.
Student visa can be converted to work permit after 6 months its not a big deal
Spouse visa is applicable he can accompany you
Dont know about the fees !! Any senior myt help u in this

Thank you bilalsaeed for your inputs!

Am applying from CHC Bangalore,India.

I have my doubts about applying for a certificate program after completing my masters. My agent is so sure that he can get me the visa.
I have to pay him only after i get the visa!!.

I have not yet decided if i want to proceed, by the way is it easier to get PR in SASK province, after being in full time employment for 6 months?

Could anyone review my issue and sort me out

Also The campus Location is at: Fort Qu'Appelle; how student friendly is this place - any ideas?

Thanks
