About opening an express entry file

Hello everyone,
I would like to ask about the police certificate ,is it mandatory to submit it while I am applying for the first time?
or it will be applicable only for permanent residence.

You will not need police certificate while creating your profile. It will be required after you receive invitation to apply . Hope that helps
