Dear Members,

Is it okay to continue full-time employment in home country and start participating the full-time program in Canada that is moved to online due to restrictions.
Are there any complications of doing it due to the overlapping of work and study in terms of immigration perspectives ?

Please advise.

You can work full time in your home country. Nothing to do with Canadian study permit.

Worth what? You aren’t in Canada so it doesn’t matter if you work full time outside country while studying. Assume you have a study permit.
I thought to ask that, which one to choose between, doing both "full-time job and attending online class" or taking part in "online class only". Please share your opinion and insights...

It depends on whether your employer has any offices in Canada.

The employer is US based, but has branches in Canada and other countries... I am working full-time in a branch that is based in my home country...

Don’t believe that working full-time will be allowed given that there are offices in Canada. Hopefully others like @scylla can confirm.

But I my offer has been made in my home country and I'm currently working there.

Note: The company name is registered as xxx Ind Pvt Ltd in India and the same name is mentioned in my offer letter, payslips..
(but it is a huge MNC, having its presence in different countries..)

As long as you remain in India it is fine,

whether it will have any impact in crs score while claiming points in express entry for full time studies as well as full time job

@Atchu Did you continue with your plan of studying as well as working?
I understand you could do it till end 2021 and gain points for both study as well as work ex (outside Canada).. correct if I got this wrong.

I did both while being outside of Canada. You can do until dec 21. But I am not sure of points. Note that, the company should not be based in Canada.

Thanks Atchu. Yeah I'm working for a Non-Canadian co. My main concern was on points. Anyways, I was asking FYI only, just in case there was another wave (god forbid not!) and if the Dec'21 deadline was to be extended then I was planning to consider some study options to increase my points in EE.
